Biscoff is the name given to Lotus Bakeries Speculoos Cookies in North America. It is derived from the words Biscuits and Coffee.


WHAT DOES THE NAME "LOTUS" STAND FOR?

Lotus Bakeries is the name of our Belgian Bakery that produces Lotus Biscoff Cookies and other specialty European baked goods.


WHAT IS SPECULOOS OR SPECULAAS?

Speculoos is the generic name of the traditional crispy, spice cookies from Belgium. Speculaas is the name given to the same type of cookies in Holland. Lotus Biscoff Cookies are Speculoos or Speculaas cookies.


WHERE ARE LOTUS BISCOFF COOKIES PRODUCED?

Lotus Biscoff Cookies and Lotus Biscoff Cookie Butter are both produced in Lotus Bakeries Lembeke Plant in Belgium.


ARE ALL LOTUS BISCOFF COOKIES THE SAME?

Yes, independent of its size and packaging, all Lotus Biscoff Cookies taste exactly the same and are produced in Lotus Bakeries Lembeke plant using the original recipe created in 1932.


WHAT ARE THE ALLERGY WARNINGS FOR LOTUS BISCOFF COOKIES AND LOTUS BISCOFF COOKIE BUTTER?

Lotus Biscoff Cookies and Lotus Biscoff Cookie Butter both contain wheat and soy.


DOES LOTUS BISCOFF CONTAIN ANY ANIMAL PRODUCTS?

No, Lotus Biscoff Cookies and Cookie Butter do not contain any animal products. Lotus Biscoff with Chocolate contains dairy.

Even though packaging on these cookies look different from the Lotus Biscoff Cookies you might have bought at a store or through our catalog and/or website, they are made with the exact same recipe. All Lotus Biscoff Cookies, including the ones served on flights, are made in Lotus Bakeries Lembeke plant using the original recipe created in 1932.
